Gugulethu Sophie Mbatha - better popularly known as Gugu is a British stage and film actress. She gained fame after starring in the BBC's 'Doctor Who', a British science fiction television series. Gugu became famous for playing Tish Jones in the series by BBC. She played the role of the twin sister of a character known as Martha Jones. Gugu's viewers loved her openness and was well in the process of establishing an extensive acting career. Gugu has appeared on a variety of British dramas and television shows. Her mother is German who emigrated into her home in United States from Germany in 1958. Her diagnosis was breast cancer in the year 1989. Handler grew up in the family of a Reform Judaism family. Her father was Jewish. Handler enjoyed a pleasant and healthy growing up in an affluent area. She was just 19 when she made the decision to relocate into Los Angeles and pursue acting. Handler started acting to earn income. When she turned 21 years old, Handler decided to pursue stand-up comedy full time, because she realized her story telling talents. Handler's career started as an actress in an all-female cast on the Oxygen channel's reality television series Girls who behave in a way that was terribly. It was a combination of cameras hidden in the background and humorous comedy. Between 2002 and 2005, the show aired. Handler began appearing on various other programs such like Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler was also a correspondent for The Tonight Show. Handler's big break was in 2006 when she began hosting her program on E! The show was called Chelsea Handler. The show ran for two seasons. In the following year, Handler performed on the Comedy Central's Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour in the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend as well as HBO broadcast her stand-up shows. Her name was chosen as the host of MTV's 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in 2010. It was only the second female host of the VMAs after Roseanne Bar.
